Cadas Animation is a breath of fresh air within the Animation universe. Cadas is a legendary producer in Canadian Animation (Toronto, Canada). An author, animator and even a healthcare professional, Cadas is the creator and producer of original books, characters and animations, such as Dance Cube, Cherry Robinson and Hairy Binkle, which have been respectfully received by many over the years. Her work, especially Dance Cube (Kinesiology), Cherry Christmas and Milo and the Green Light (Nursing and Social Work), AVERIE (Psychology) reflects much of her professional healthcare education and expertise. The creator herself has worked with Animation teams and studios across the GTA (Toronto, Canada) and around the world.

Cadas is looking for junior and experienced 2D Animators to join the team on our original projects and productions. Depending on the project and our needs, you may be hired to work on animated cycles (ex. Dance Cube exercise or dance animations), animated shorts (ex. Wheelie Fish/Pholourie), or animated films or long animations (ex. Cherry Christmas or Hairy Halloween).

Animated Cycles: You will animate along to a reference provided. You will be given feedback if necessary and you must adjust animations according to feedback.

Animated Shorts: You will animate along to a storyboard or animatic provided, following direction by Cadas. You will be working on animating one of Cadas's original books, so you are required to read and understand the book from start to finish.

Animated Films: You will animate along to a storyboard or animatic provided, following direction by Cadas. You will be working on animating one of Cadas's original books, so you are required to read and understand the book from start to finish.

Your Portfolio and Demo Reel must prove the following:

• Great understanding of 2D Animation principles, drawing and creative and artistic approach
• Great demonstration of character posing, acting, emotion and movements
• Great understanding of 2D Rigged Animation (using Toon Boom Harmony or similar software)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to collaborate and take direction from supervisor based on storyboards or animatic
• Ability to follow instructions and take constructive feedback if necessary
• Great attention to detail, timing and movement

Cadas is looking for junior and experienced 2D Background Artists and Concept Artists to join the team on our original projects and productions. You may be hired to work on background art for books, illustration, animations and social media posts. 

Your Portfolio must prove the following:

• Strong understanding of perspective drawing, environmental art and concept art
• Strong drawing and artistic ability with great attention to detail, colour and perspective
• Strong understanding of both internal and external environment art and drawings

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to collaborate and take direction from supervisor based on rough concepts and ideas
• Ability to follow instructions and take constructive feedback if necessary
• Great attention to detail, colour and use of perspective illustration

Cadas is looking for junior and experienced 3D Character Modellers to join the team on our original projects and productions. You may be hired to work on 3D Character Models based on the 2D drawings provided. 3D Character Rigging is also a major bonus and asset to this position*

Your Portfolio and Demo Reel must prove the following:

• Great understanding of 3D Character Models, shapes, styles and cartoony character approach
• Great demonstration of character appearance
• Great understanding of 3D Character Modelling using Autodesk Maya or Blender

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to collaborate and take direction from supervisor based on 2D character drawings and illustrations
• Ability to follow instructions and take constructive feedback if necessary
• Great attention to detail, style and cartoony approach to character design
